Speaking in Chicago on Wednesday, U.S. President Joe Biden said trickle-down economics don't work. In a term coined by economists, he said "Bidenomics" — his administration's economic plan — aims to build the economy from "the middle-out" and the "bottom-up."
The president said his plan consists of three "fundamental" pillars: smart investments in America, educating and empowering workers to "grow the middle class," and promoting competition to lower costs.
"That's Bidenomics!" he said.
This comes as a new poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research unveiled only 34 per cent of U.S. adults approve of Biden's economic vision and 72 per cent of Democrats agree with Biden.
