Police investigations are underway in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), after two tense demonstrations over the weekend related to the Israel-Hamas conflict.

The first was outside the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) on Saturday, where Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was scheduled to host Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

The second was outside a Thornhill synagogue, resulting in the arrest of a 27-year-old man who allegedly shot at pro-Palestinian protesters with a nail gun.

Global’s Shallima Maharaj reports.
