'Temporary' prison early release scheme extended

A government scheme to release prisoners early that was supposed to be temporary has been quietly extended due to continued pressure on prison capacity.

Sky News can reveal the programme, which afforded offenders early release, will now also cover more prisons indefinitely - despite fears there aren't proper risk management plans in place.
