Colombian authorities arrested suspected Gulf Clan drug cartel and paramilitary group member Luis Daniel 'Machete' Santana during his wedding in Uramita, Antioquia on Wednesday.

The Prosecutor's Office says Santana was a logistics and security coordinator for the cartel.

Authorities had been searching for him since 2017.

Local media report Santana had been hiding in the mountain region of Antioquia. Authorities seized the opportunity when he left his hideout to get married.
