Violence broke out in Mexico's Sinaloa state on Thursday after security forces arrested Ovidio Guzman, the son of former Sinaloa cartel boss Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzmán.

Gunshots rang out at the Culican International Airport with passengers on board an AeroMexico flight crouching low to the floor as gangsters affiliated with the cartel shooting at flights. They also shot at a Mexican military plane.

As Aaron McArthur reports, Canadians are being told to limit their movements and shelter in place as violence broke out.
