The rate of inflation – which was around 80 percent before the conflict started – is expected to double this year.
And the Sudanese pound has lost nearly half its value.
That all adds up to an increasingly desperate situation for many who have no means of income.
The World Bank predicts that inflation will continue to rise, making it even harder for people to sustain themselves.
