According to new research published in Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems, lab-grown meat isn’t necessarily more sustainable than regular old beef meat. That’s because when you make meat in a lab, you are also emitting carbon dioxide, which stays in the atmosphere longer than the methane in cow farts. In other words, they both create greenhouse gases that have negative effects. The Resident gives her spin on it.
