More than 100 members of the Canadian military arrived in Cape Breton to help residents who remain in the dark in the aftermath of Fiona's destructive path across Atlantic Canada.

Meanwhile, days after the post-tropical storm uprooted trees and downed power lines in the Nova Scotia region, many Mi'kmaw communities there also remain without electricity.
