Several people in Nairobi were injured as crowds forced their way into the stadium where William Ruto's presidential inauguration was being held.
A police spokesperson had said the stadium was full by dawn and urged the public to watch Ruto’s inauguration from their homes.
Ruto narrowly won the Kenyan presidential election in August over longtime opposition figure Raila Odinga.
