Sri Lanka's government says it will no longer force Muslims and Christians to cremate the remains of family members who have died from COVID-19.
The government had faced pressure from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the United Nations and Pakistan’s government to reverse the policy introduced almost a year ago.
