A large fire is currently burning at a lithium battery manufacturing plant in South Korea. One person has been confirmed dead, and at least 21 others are unaccounted for. The incident occurred in Hwaseong, in Gyeonggi province, in the northwestern part of the country. Over 140 firefighters have been dispatched to the factory to attempt to contain the blaze. However, fire chiefs report that it is impossible for crews to enter the premises due to the continuous explosions of battery cells.
