A revolutionary solar ironing cart designed by Vinisha Uma Shankar, a 14-year-old girl from Tamil Nadu's Thiruvannamalai district promises a massive improvement in air quality as it could completely eliminate the use of charcoal in conventional irons. With ten million ironing carts estimated across the country releasing a lot of smoke burning fifty million kilos of charcoal every day, this could be a game changer in fighting climate change. Recognising her vision and her business model, she has been awarded the Children's Climate Prize by a foundation in Sweden.
