Responding to the surprise endorsement by Sir Rod Stewart, Labour's deputy leader Angela Rayner said the singer had 'given a voice to many people's frustrations' given the current state of the NHS

Sir Rod Stewart has told Sky News the NHS waiting times are "ridiculous", adding: "I personally have been a Tory for a long time but I think this government should stand down now and give the Labour Party a go."
