Hundreds of Hondurans and Nicaraguans on Saturday set off towards the United States, in the first migrant caravan to be formed this year in Central America.
This comes as international aid workers warn that growing numbers of families with children have already overwhelmed migrant shelters along the Mexico-US border.
The aid workers in Tijuana have asked regional governments for more resources.
