Record numbers of migrants have crossed into the United States’ southern border this year. Nearly 2.5 million people are reported to have crossed in 2023 with a record of nearly 10,000 in a single day.
After discussions between Mexico and the US, migrants on the border say Mexico has started imposing harsher measures on those trying to make the journey.
