Shapps on scrapping HS2: People work from home more post-COVID

Defence secretary Grant Shapps has said the Prime Minister will be discussing taking "the difficult longer-term decisions post-COVID".

Sky News understands the northern leg of HS2 has been scrapped.

Mr Shapps - a former transport secretary - said he does support the decision because after COVID, people are working from home more often and so travel patterns have "fundamentally changed".
