Shane MacGowan funeral: Glen Hansard and Lisa O'Neill perform Fairytale Of New York

Irish singers Glen Hansard and Lisa O'Neill took to the stage to perform The Pogues' much-loved festive song Fairytale of New York in honour of Shane MacGowan.

They previously sang the Christmas classic together back in 2018 at MacGowan's 60th birthday celebrations.

Fans of The Pogues are hoping the song will make it to this year's Christmas Number One. MacGowan's widow said it "absolutely should be" top of the list.
