Many low-lying pockets in and around Chennai were flooded with lakes overflowing due to incessant rain. Around 200 families in south Chennai's Narayanapuram are marooned with water overflowing from Anai Eri lake entering their homes. The residents of the posh Chettinad enclave are without electricity for four days. NDTV's J Sam Daniel waded through knee-deep water and took a boat ride to speak to affected residents.
