School buildings crisis: Thousands face disruption

Labour has accused the government of “staggering incompetence” after it emerged that more than 100 schools will have to close for the start of the school term.

The Department of Education said a “minority” would have to relocate all of their pupils.

The buildings are all believed to have been constructed using reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete and risk collapsing at any moment.
