Sarnia Children’s Aid Society’s debt erased following Global News report

Sarnia-Lambton Children’s Aid Society which has become a stand-out for its progressive approach to child welfare has had its $1.3 million debt erased by the province, only days after a Global News report.

The CAS stopped placing kids in group homes four years ago – the only CAS to do so and sustain it.

Instead, Sarnia CAS focuses on supporting families, prevention services and placing kids with relatives when necessary. Carolyn Jarvis reports.
