London Mayor Sadiq Khan has denied that the expansion of a scheme to charge polluting cars to drive in the capital is part of a war on motorists.

Asked if he was targeting drivers, he told Sky News "absolutely not" and said it is important not to adopt an "us versus them" attitude to the issue.

Mr Khan added that there is a "war on pollution", adding that "all of us" will benefit from cleaner air - living longer and healthier lives as a result.
