Russian opposition, EU raise concerns about parliamentary vote

Vladimir Putin has thanked Russians for their trust after the ruling party retained its supermajority in parliament, reaffirming his hold on power.
Most of the opposition was barred from running, and there has been widespread international condemnation after claims of voter fraud and intimidation.
Kremlin critics say the three-day poll was geared to hand United Russia victory and was marred by violations.
