The US and Russia have agreed to work together on climate change as climate envoy John Kerry meets Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
Kerry's four-day visit is the first sign of a possible thaw between the two superpowers amid deteriorating ties.
The rival nations have sparred over accusations of Russian ransomware attacks and their approaches to China.
Kerry is trying to get other leaders to cut emissions ahead of a UN global climate summit later this year.
