Amid the ongoing war, Russia and Ukraine exchanged 90 prisoners of war on Thursday — sending 45 captive soldiers from each side to their respective homes.

Russia's defence ministry released video footage showing Russian servicemen returning from Ukrainian custody.

Ukrainian Parliament Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets revealed that 2,576 Ukrainians have been freed through routine prisoner exchanges since Russia commenced its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
