Rival groups clash in Somali capital over president’s mandate

Soldiers loyal to Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed have exchanged gunfire in Mogadishu with rival groups, which want him to step down.
Parliament recently voted to extend Farmaajo's term - as the president is commonly known - and talks to organise a new election have stalled.
In April, Mohamed signed a law extending his term by another two years.
