Rishi Sunak took to the English Channel today - insisting his plan to stop asylum seekers doing the same was working.

The Prime Minister used his visit to Dover to announce the purchase of another two barges on which asylum applicants would be housed.

Labour's Sir Keir Starmer, meanwhile, said Sunak's speech was like “groundhog day” - accusing the government of re-announcing the same policies.
