A new report is showing a much darker picture of how burning fossil fuels is extremely harmful to our health, estimating eight million people die every year after breathing the emissions left in the air.

In Canada, the report estimates that more than 13 per cent of premature adult deaths were caused by fossil fuel pollution in 2018, with Ontario the highest at more than 17 per cent.

Redmond Shannon reports that experts believe making the move to renewable energy is more critical than ever before.
