In the olden golden days of Hollywood, there'd never have been a Renee Zellweger. The spin doctors would have changed that name quick smart, and no doubt the homely Texas background would have been sexed up too. But there's no way they'd ever have changed Renee herself. Her honesty, lack of vanity, and the old fashioned values she learnt from her immigrant parents would still have shone through. And maybe that's why she's so believable on screen. It certainly helps when she's playing Bridget Jones who's back with more from her diary and more trouble with Mr Right.
