Aid organisations say a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in the state capital of West Darfur.
Medicine, food and water sources in el-Geneina have been completely exhausted and getting out is nearly impossible.
There is concern fighting could spread to other parts of the region, including neighbouring Chad.
Al Jazeera spoke with Sudanese civilians arriving there, who say they are being harassed by militias.
