Humanitarian crisis in Gaza is 'looming', Foreign Office minister says

Foreign Office minister Andrew Mitchell is spoke with Kay Burley, offering us an update on the British hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.

"As you know, six of them have sadly died and been murdered. And we are very concerned indeed about the ten [missing] and we are doing everything we can to negotiate their release," before adding that there was no confirmation that they were alive.

Pivoting to Gaza itself, he says any plan to allow civilians out of the Gaza Strip would "certainly" involve the Rafah Crossing on the Egyptian border, before adding that the UK was involved in discussions.
