Every year, since 1768, The UK’s Royal Academy in London has held the largest open-submission art exhibition in the world.
The event brings unknown and blockbuster artists together under one roof and this year's theme is "Reclaiming Magic", celebrating the joy of creating things.
Due to the pandemic, the Summer Exhibition was for the first time moved to the autumn.
This year there are more than 1,300 works on show, a rough and tumble exhibition that highlights that creativity comes in all shapes and sizes.
Al Jazeera’s Neave Barker reports from London.
