Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar served as the Head Scientist of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) before retiring on 30 June 2020. While talking to ABP News, the former head of ICMR said that it is better if people were more self-aware than implementing lockdown. Regarding the trail of the Coronavirus vaccine, he added that only the Oxford vaccine trial is being conducted in India and not of Moderna and vaccines of other companies.
