Rail Cancellations: Trains full of passengers forced to take 180-mile taxis to Scotland

People trying to get to Scotland found themselves on long cab journeys with strangers after a track defect cancelled trains heading north of Preston on Monday night. A school was forced to find its own coach for stranded students who were too young to travel alone.
