The Queen has been pictured smiling and laughing at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, just days after missing the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in 59 years.

She was awarded a gold cup after her horse was named supreme champion at the event.

Her outing comes after Prince Charles delivered the Queen's Speech at the State Opening of Parliament, with the palace stating that it was due to her "episodic mobility problems."

The last time the Monarch was seen in public was at the Duke of Edinburgh's memorial service in March.
