Qatari news conference as truce to begin on Friday morning

The temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will begin at 7am local time tomorrow, Qatar's foreign ministry has announced.

Speaking at a news conference in Doha, a ministry spokesman said the first group of hostages will be handed over at 4pm local time.

Dr Majed al Ansari said the first group will be made up of 13 people and families will be given priority.
