Charges against the mercenaries have been dropped. The government says the group is handing over its equipment.
Vladimir Putin said he had no doubts about the army's loyalty.

There's still no confirmation on the location of Wagner Chief Yevegeny Prigozhin.
But a flight linked to the Wagner groups been tracked landing in Belarus on Tuesday.
Earlier Prigozhin described the weekend's events as a 'master class'.

The former CEO of car-maker Audi has been given a suspended sentence after being convicted of fraud for his role in a diesel emissions scandal.
Under the plea deal, Rupert Stadler admitted he allowed Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche cars equipped with an illegal software to remain on sale.
That software allowed cars to cheat on emission tests.
He was also ordered to pay a 1.2 million dollar fine.


A record-breaking number of Muslims are gathering in Mecca for this year's Hajj pilgrimage.
More than 2.5 million people are expected to take part as pandemic restrictions in place since 2020 have been fully relaxed.
Tuesday marks Arafah. It's the most important of the five-day pilgrimage.
