Putin says Wagner group “doesn’t exist” as Ukraine bets on cluster munitions for counteroffensive

It appears Russian President Vladimir Putin is distancing himself from a private military group, once so critical to his war on Ukraine. Putin now says the Wagner group simply "does not exist."

Last month, it turned on Russia and staged a brief armed mutiny. It has also fought some of the bloodiest battles since the war began.

More than 500 days into Russia’s invasion, Ukraine says it's making slow progress.

As Crystal Goomansingh reports, cluster munitions could help their counteroffensive.
