Ukraine news: President Biden defends decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine

The Prime Minister has reaffirmed the UK's stance against the use of cluster bombs.

Rishi Sunak's intervention came after President Biden confirmed the US would be sending the controversial weapons to the Ukrainian frontline.

More than 120 countries have banned the use of cluster munitions, because of the high proportion of civilian casualties.

But the US president has defended what he described as a 'difficult decision'.
