India's ambitious Covid vaccine drive is expected to not just keep the pandemic at bay but also revive the economy. But the cost of vaccinating even half the population at Rs 400 per person will add up to over Rs 27,000 crore. This is 40 per cent of India's budget allocation to health last year. Ndtv spoke to KIMS group of Hospitals managing director Dr Bhaskar Rao, who is also president of the Telangana Super Speciality Hospitals Association. He says public-private partnership is a must to ensure quality healthcare that is affordable and accessible to all.
