More than 120,000 striking public servants are no longer on the picket line after their union, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), announced it had reached a tentative deal with the Treasury Board.
The union and government resumed negotiations over the weekend and came to a deal early Monday. It came after the federal government tabled a new contract offer to the union on Friday, describing it Saturday as the final proposal.
Not everyone is off the picket line though, as members of the Canada Revenue Agency are still on strike.
The union for Canada's public servants is recommending its members ratify the tentative deal. Marianne Dimain explains more about what we know about the deal.
