Protests over sentencing of Kremlin critic Navalny dispersed by police in Moscow and St. Petersburg

Illegal rallies held by supporters of Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny following his sentencing were dispersed by police in both Russian capitals. The streets of Moscow and St. Petersburg have seen several hundred, mostly young, demonstrators calling for Navalny’s release.
