Protecting waterways: Athlete takes historic swim in the Hudson River

British endurance swimmer Lewis Pugh has become the first person to swim the entire length of New York's Hudson River unaided.
Pugh - who is also the UN's Patron of the Oceans - swam more than 500km in order to highlight the need for cleaner waterways around the world.
