Princess Anne, sister of King Charles III, arrived in Moncton, N.B. on Friday for a weekend-long visit.

The Royal laid a wreath in front of the memorial in honour of the three RCMP officers killed in a 2014 shooting. She also spoke with the families of the slain officers.

Princess Anne will stay in Moncton on Friday and Saturday, and then travel to Sussex, N.B., for church and various functions Sunday morning for the 75th Anniversary of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s) regiment.

Global’s Suzanne Lapointe spoke to a family of royalists who were thrilled to see a member of the Royal Family in person.
