Prince Harry speaks out after winning phone hacking lawsuit: “A great day for truth”

Prince Harry has spoken out after a judge delivered a historic victory Friday in his phone hacking lawsuit against the Daily Mirror.

Justice Timothy Fancourt said in a 386-page ruling that phone hacking at the Mirror Group Newspapers was “widespread and habitual” and that executives had covered it up. He ordered the publishing group to pay the Duke of Sussex 140,000 pounds ($180,000).

“Today is a great day for truth, as well as accountability,” Harry said in a statement read by his lawyer.
