Prince Charles has expressed his "personal sorrow" at slavery's "enduring impact" during a speech at a Commonwealth meeting in Rwanda.

He said "we must acknowledge the wrongs which have shaped our past" as spoke at the opening of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali.
