The Prime Minister has said he is "sad and disappointed" about the disruption caused by the strikes this Christmas.

Rishi Sunak said the government has acted "fairly" in accepting recommendations from the independent pay review but wanted to make the right "long term decisions" for the country.

He said the government's door was "always open" to have talks.
