People in cities around the world took to the streets over the past few days to celebrate Pride.

After a two-year-hiatus during the pandemic, the Pride flag was one again flying in Los Angeles on Sunday as the city’s annual Pride parade returned. Washington, D.C. also celebrated pride with a parade on Sunday, while people across the globe from Kathmandu, Nepal to Rome, Italy also held festivities.

“It’s just a celebration of who you are… and how can that not be the greatest thing in the world,” said one reveler in Vienna.

Pride month, which is dedicated to uplifting 2SLGBTQQIA+ voices, is celebrated in cities around the world in June, with some festivities also taking place in other summer months including July and August.
