Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant is reportedly enroute to Washington, D.C., as the U.S. pushes Israel to abandon its planned offensive in the southern Gazan city of Rafah.
The trip also comes amid growing international pressure for more aid to be let into Gaza.
The United Nations has called for a “flood of aid” into Gaza, adding that the most efficient method for delivering supplies is by road.
