U.S. President Joe Biden says his country, where more than half of eligible adults are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19, is planning to donate 80 million doses to other countries.
Canada is included in the list of recipients.
Meanwhile, developing nations have only received less than one per cent of global vaccine doses to date. As Jackson Proskow explains, pressure is mounting on Canada to give, rather than take, extra shots.
