While Covid-19 wreaks havoc in Bihar, cases of Black Fungus have also been detected in Patna. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday expressed concern on cases of mucormycosis of "black fungus" being reported amongst patients who have recovered from coronavirus and urged the Centre to carry a comprehensive research on the malady and arrange for its medicines in sufficient quantity.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has started making efforts to curb the spread of deadly 'Black Fungus' at its initial stage.

The government has said it is taking steps to ramp up availability of Amphotericin B - to fight Mucormycosis, a black fungus infection in Covid patients.
